<p><a href="http://www.kunini.com/">Kunini</a> reports that under the 2014 <a href="http://www.mol.go.th/sites/default/files/downloads/pdf/Skill_Development_Promotion_Act_2545_DSD.pdf">Skill Development Promotion Act</a>, all building electricians will be required to obtain proper certification by the Department of Skill Development (DSD) prior to employment.</p>
<p>According to the report, more than a thousand electricians have already been certified by the DSD which hopes that at least 40,000 electricians will be certified by the end of September.</p>

<p>Failure to obtain certification before working as an electrician will result in legal penalties under the Act.</p>
